The house had new shingle siding as a result of a complete renovation. We prepared the siding by power washing, then sanding. On a shingle style home the first primer coat was applied by spraying. After the Primer all areas that required caulking were caulked. Priming before caulking protects the wood against moisture and prevents the caulk from sealing in the moisture causing rot. The final two coats of paint were applied by brush.
